SUMMARY: The Logistics Coordinator is required to manage and oversee the day-to-day logistics operations for both inbound and outbound shipping operations. This includes but is not limited to carrier selection, rate negotiation, carrier performance review, tracking, tracing, and claims. In addition, the Logistic Coordinator is required to define and maintain customs tariff (HTS) codes for all of ůůֱ²¥â€™s products and components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customs Compliance: Define and assign accurate customs tariff codes for products and components, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve issues related to damaged or lost shipments, coordinating with vendors, customers, carriers, and insurance providers as needed
- Negotiate Rates: Work with the Warehouse & Facilities Manager to negotiate best rates from carriers for all ůůֱ²¥ paid shipments
- Inbound Logistics:
- Work with carriers and ůůֱ²¥ vendors to coordinate and schedule all domestic and international inbound shipments
- Manage transportation via full container load (FCL), less-than-container load (LCL), and small package shipments
- Work with Third-Party Logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, UPS, and FedEx to ensure low cost, efficient delivery
- E-mail/telephone correspondence with ůůֱ²¥ vendors and carriers to monitor and track shipment status
- Enter/update shipment tracking information in Tracking Report
- Review and verify all inbound freight and customs invoices for accuracy and compliance
- Outbound Logistics:
- Schedule and arrange outbound shipments using both customer-specified and ůůֱ²¥-selected carriers.
- Maintain customer routing guides
- Manage shipment of finished products via LTL, FTL, and small parcel (UPS/FedEx), ensuring proper packaging (skids, cartons, etc.)
- Ensure accurate documentation (BOLs, shipping labels, packing lists) and coordinate with warehouse personnel to meet customer deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred
- 4+ years in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing or import/export environment
- Supply Chain Certifications, preferred:
- Certificate in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD)
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- Experience working with international shipments and customs compliance
- Familiarity with freight terms, INCOTERMS, and customs regulations
- Full understanding of HTS classification and import/export documentation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evening or weekends during peak periods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with ERP, knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Excellent communication and problem solving abilities
Accountability:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintain HTS codes for products/components
- Track shipper quality/recommend replacement
- Review freight invoices for accuracy

Salary Range - $60,000 - $65,000 yearly
